Dining Services Updates

Below you will find information regarding changes in hours of operations, location protocols, and meal plans due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation.

Summer Dining Hours of Operation

Updated hours of operation can be found here, as well as posted in our locations. We will continue to evaluate our plans for the weeks moving forward, and post these schedule on our website and in locations.

Social Distancing Protocols and Operational Changes

Dining Services is following all protocols outlined by the Center for Disease Control and local health authorities which includes continuous cleaning and sanitizing of food contact surfaces.

Dining Services will continue to offer take-out only options at all locations in an effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Take-out containers and/or prepackaged foods are available at each station. Once you have picked up your food and paid, please exit the dining location.

Additionally, wearing a mask or face covering is now required when going into public for essential tasks. Please be sure your mask or face covering is in place before entering dining locations.

We have also paused the use of personal reusable cups and clamshells as a precautionary measure in care of our students, guests and staff. In addition to the enhanced sanitizing procedures already in place, this is one more step we are taking to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Summer Meal Plans

Summer declining plans are required for all students living in campus housing this summer for any time period exceeding two weeks. Summer declining meal plans will begin on Monday, May 18 and end Sunday, August 16, which means that they will remain valid through the bridge period. Leftover academic year declining will roll over, for all students remaining in campus housing, to your summer declining accounts. Summer declining must be used by the end of the day on August 16th or it will be forfeited. Having carryover declining will not negate your requirement to purchase a summer declining plan.

As you know, Dining Services arranged with Grubhub to accept declining and URos, for off-campus restaurants, beginning in late March. This was a limited time program and the use of declining for off-campus restaurants ended on May 17th.

Beginning May 18th, you will be able to use declining, URos and credit cards to pay for Grubhub purchases for all open campus dining locations, but you will only be able to use URos and credit cards to pay for Grubhub purchases for off-campus restaurants
